If you are craving some fresh fish and chips and can’t be bothered driving to the coast to get it, then perhaps you should head to the Kingston Foreshore.
Nestled within 38 Espresso and overlooking the Foreshore Marina, That Fish + Chip Place is keeping Canberrans fed on Fridays and Saturdays with their quick meals.
‘The fish is bought fresh from Ocean Fresh Seafoods every week, so we work with what is available that week’ tells us owner Ryan Jennings.
Their menu is varied enough to give everyone a choice, and small enough that you are not spending hours trying to decide what to have.
Their fish is grilled – a healthier cooking method to keep with the fresh theme – and comes accompanied by chips and salad. You have a choice of 6 sauces, and we can definitely recommend the Chipotle Crema – a creamy, smoky and mildly spicy sauce.
Their fish tacos were a highlight – well seasoned, and abundantly filled, you get two per serving and are also accompanied by chips and salad.
That Fish + Chip place is BYO (they do have an assortment of non alcoholic beverages), so you can bring your favourite drop to drink while you enjoy your meal on the Foreshore.
They also accept cards so you can still go for your evening walk or run and then stop by for your Friday night dinner.
