I have been to Enlighten & the Night Noodle Market 4 days in a row. There is something quite addictive about the atmosphere, especially at the Night Noodle Market.
It has been relaxed with warm summer like balmy nights, Lake Burley Griffin on one side and Canberra’s most iconic buildings on the other and of course the food!!
One of the new comers to the market this year is Bao Stop and I had the chance to have a quick chat to Matty Forwood one of the owners before last Saturday’s rush.
He was fun, bold, full of passion & excitement to be in Canberra for the first time and all those feelings translated into the food they make.
Bao Stop Menu for Enlighten Night Noodle Market
Fluffy Bao which comes in four options:
Signature Braised Pork Belly Bao
Fried Chicken Bao
Peking Duck Bao
Fried Tofu Bao
or
XO Fried Chicken Bowl
Peking Duck Fries
On the night I tried the Peking Duck Fries and Bao trifecta (Pork, Duck & Chicken) and just like Matty the flavours were bold & fun. The large generous portion of the Peking Duck Fries make them perfect to share but I highly recommend getting your own serving of Bao (as you are not going to want to part with one single morsel of the fluffy Bao).
