Canberra’s Big Boys Toys Expo is back this weekend for 2016 at Exhibition Park in Canberra!

I took the family along to a special preview and we discovered a highly interactive event that really is the ultimate playground for both big and small boys and girls, to see, touch, and experience all the toys, tools, gizmos, gadgets, sports and hobbies!

My fearless 12 year old daughter loved the opportunity to try the Polaris off-road vehicle, the Big Daddy electric skateboard and to experience flying the latest in drone and robotic technology.

New this year to the expo there’s also three separately ticketed events – The National Robowars Championship, ‘Race your Mates’ rally car experience, and 3D printing workshops.

We got to meet and chat to Bella, a Canberra Year 10 Student at Alfred Deakin High School who will be representing the ACT in The National Robowars Championship with her robot ‘First Pick’ (it is very ‘Big Hero 6’), which she has been working on building all year as part of her Year 10 work experience. Now that is what I call girl power!
