Life in the outskirts of suburban Canberra is not as simple as you might expect. Well, that is the premise for the new production by Canberra’s contemporary theatre company, Aspen Island Theatre Company.
Their new original production ‘The Slip Lane’ mixes the supernatural with political satire and a dose of comedic drama and centres around the modern suburban hub of Gungahlin.
The Slip Lane promises to be ‘a profoundly whimsical meditation on life in the ‘burbs’.
The production is a Canberra affair. Written and directed by Aspen Island Theatre Company Julian Hobba, the cast features some of Canberra’s finest comic performers, including Nick Delatovic, Dene Kermond, Clare Moss and Emma Strand and local video artist, Danny Wild, brings the both the landscape and supernatural to life.
The Slip Lane promises to be ‘a profoundly whimsical meditation on life in the ‘burbs’.
